In this installment, we will be showcasing ScaleTrains. This innovative train manufacturer specializes in both HO and N scale locomotives, freight cars, and vehicles. Based out of Benton, Tennessee, ScaleTrains focuses primarily on online sales but has their model trains in nearly 50 hobby shops worldwide.
Since the beginning of ScaleTrains in November 2015, they have created over 40 different all-new models and shipped over 30 additional models. In addition to their own trains, they represent the following brands: Museum Quality, Rivet Counter, Operator, and Kit Classics.
Coming Soon To A City Near You
One way that ScaleTrains differentiates itself from the competition is through their Road Trip across America. Beginning with just a few shows in the Tennessee and Georgia area, over the years the company has expanded their event offerings to be nationwide. With a truck and RV they are making their way across all 50 states (and hopefully Canada) showcasing their train shows to modelers in their own hometowns. Scale Trains is currently working their way through the South with plans to hit more southern states in Winter 2021/2022.
ScaleTrains typically spends an hour sharing their company’s story, presenting a video about how model trains are made, and then hosting a Q&A session where participants can ask questions about its products and other hobby topics. After that, they usually present their models via scale track layouts.

It is scalable for the future, but because it’s open-source, there are multiple companies dedicated to improving Magento by making plugins and modules so customers can get exactly what they want out of their store. EYStudios worked with ScaleTrains to create and launch their new site including all design, development, and even their new logo!
